I first began working with NISGUA in 1982 when we were making our first film "When the Mountains Tremble" and it was so hard to really understand what was going on in Guatemala or how to connect to people leading movements for change. And I've continued to rely on NISGUA for clear, accurate information and real on-the-ground work on behalf of human rights and the quest for justice. NISGUA is central to sowing solidarity between the U.S. and Guatemala from 1982 until now with new generations of American activists taking the reins. I've relied on them as I was figuring out how to tell the story in our film "Granito: How to Nail a Dictator" all the way up through "500 Years". And they were with us every step of the way in our outreach and engagement campaigns with the films. I'm a sustaining monthly donor to NISGUA as well. So join me!
