These days, it can be hard to find spaces of hope. In this world of uncertainties, one of the few things that I am sure of is that NISGUA’s work is more important now than ever. NISGUA's solidarity with struggles for justice and self-determination in Guatemala is a commitment that continues to make me believe once again in the power of organizing and international solidarity. As many of you know, in 2016, I spent one year with NISGUA accompanying human rights defenders and activists in Guatemala and it changed my life.This year, NISGUA is not only using these days to fund their activities, but also to grow our network to amplify the messages of liberation of our partners. Will you join in?

This year, thanks to the generosity of a small group of donors, we have set an ambitious goal of raising $100,000. Together, we can make a significant impact in supporting the struggle for justice and self-determination in just fourteen days.

From May 15th through May 31st, every donation made, up to $50,000, will be matched dollar-for-dollar. Your generous contribution during this time will have double the impact, allowing us to strengthen relationships with our counterparts in Guatemala, weave bridges across similar struggles and resistance against systematic violence, and continue to accompany the search for justice, truth and memory.

Over 90% of NISGUA's donations come from individual donors like you, which means we are entirely accountable to our Guatemalan partners and our committed base in the United States.

En este mundo de incertidumbres, una de las pocas cosas de las que estoy segura es que el trabajo de NISGUA es más importante ahora que nunca.La solidaridad de NISGUA con las luchas por la justicia y la autodeterminación en Guatemala es un compromiso que me sigue haciendo creer una vez más en el poder de la organización y la solidaridad internacional. Como muchos de vosotros sabéis, en 2016, pasé un año con NISGUA acompañando a defensores de derechos humanos y activistas en Guatemala y me cambió la vida.Este año, NISGUA no solo está utilizando estos días para financiar sus actividades, sino también para hacer crecer nuestra red para amplificar los mensajes de liberación de nuestros socios. ¿Te apuntas?
