I first visited Guatemala at 19 years old, in the midst of what the U.N. has characterized as genocide. While war has abated, the abuse of Guatemalans continues. Many bravely speak out in defense of their land and their rights, and are often persecuted or killed. Please join me in supporting the Network in Solidarity with the People of Guatemala, that provides protection for Guatemalan activists, and works towards justice and accountability for abusers.
