For 40 years, NISGUA has woven a rich tapestry of engaged solidarity and collective action for transformation. The loom sustaining our work is our long-term relationships, grounded in mutual trust and shared struggle. The strands of our weaving include delegations, tours, accompaniment, horizontal exchanges, political education, and advocacy campaigns. Forming the weft and warp is our commitment to social, environmental, and racial justice and our recognition that global systems of oppression impact communities in both the U.S. and Guatemala.

Join us in this celebration by purchasing a calendar today! Sales directly support NISGUA’s program work, building mutually beneficial ties between the people of the U.S. and Guatemala to strengthen the global movement for justice. The NISGUA calendar is a collective creative effort every year! We deeply appreciate the leadership of Ali Durbin, who has coordinated the calendar creation for the last six years. We also thank our fabulous Calendar Committee: Marianella Aguirre, Amanda Kistler, Joene Pike, Christina Reyes, and Isabel Villalón. Gracias to Christie Keith and Todd Kolze for sharing their invaluable historical input for this anniversary calendar. A shout-out to long-term collaborator Melinda Van Slyke who is once again coordinating orders and shipping. Finally, thank you to the photographers who have generously shared their art with us and you.
